Precision Support
for Performance

A multi-agent system for cognitive and
physical augmentation in manufacturing

The OMNI-SENSE Suite

Digital human-centric augmentation, with an assistance agent that optimises workstation parameters, task allocation, and worker ergonomics.

This layer removes facial characteristics and processes data streams on the edge to strip personal identifiers, ensuring complete General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.

3D shopfloor vision

Environmental sensors (noise, temperature, and air quality)

Wearable biosignal sensors

Tactile and fingertip inspection tools

XR glasses integrating binocular eye-tracking

Explore the MANUFACTOR augmentation

Ergonomics and
Load-Balancing Agent

It focuses on the reduction of physical strain, musculoskeletal fatigue, and workplace injuries.

Workstation Adaptation Agent

It establishes control loops that automatically align factory machinery and processes with individual human capabilities.

FactoryGPT

It acts as a conversational guidance and training assistant, wrapped in a comprehensive European explainability framework to meet the strict legal mandates of the EU AI Act.

These modules work alongside the Human Digital Twin, which continuously models workers’ physical and cognitive states in real time to enable proactive, safe, and inclusive support.

Case Studies

Solutions will be tested and refined in two learning factories, ensuring robust evaluation under controlled and realistic conditions.

Matured components will then be validated in three industrial pilots (Austria, Portugal, Sweden), covering distinct manufacturing domains.

Co-design with workers, managers, trade unions and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) experts ensures inclusiveness, trust, and ethical compliance with EU AI and safety frameworks.

Teaching Factory Competence Center. Content – Greece

Focused on the physical burden of industrial processes like assembly and disassembly that is supported by advanced automation techniques. In includes 3D sensors array to evaluate proximity of workers to workstations and collect posture data, bracelets, wearable tactile sensors, and smart glasses.

Technische Universität Darmstadt – Germany

Focused on the powder coating station that is characterized by increased human-machine interaction for mentally intensive task execution. It includes 3D sensors to detect operator placement and movements for evaluation of task progression, wearable bracelets for human state monitoring and smart glasses for human intention evaluation and prediction.

INDUSTRIAL
PILOTS

High-Precision Equipment (FILL – Austria)

Streamlining operator onboarding and reducing trainer supervision load by up to 40% through interactive XR training.

High-Voltage Transformers (Hitachi Energy – Sweden)

Cutting long proficiencies and reducing error rates in high-mix, manual transformer assemblies by up to 30%.

Automotive Assembly (Volkswagen Autoeuropa – Portugal)

Improving physical comfort and reducing task uncertainty by using virtual smart-glass gauges during manual alignment and quality checks.
